Built inside the practice we market.

Practice Brew was built by Dr. Richard Dawson, DMD to solve a problem he couldn't outsource: dental marketing that actually understands dentistry.

Origin

Practice Brew began as an internal marketing function at Smile Science Dental Spa in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. Richard Dawson found that dental marketing agencies consistently fell into the same traps: generic content that couldn't survive clinical scrutiny, SEO strategies that prioritized volume over authority, and reputation management that felt automated because it was. The decision to build an in-house function became the decision to build an agency.

The Brew Metaphor

Brewing is slow, intentional, and precise. The outcome depends entirely on the quality of what goes in and the care of the process. We chose the name Practice Brew because it describes exactly what we reject: instant, automated, templated campaigns that taste the same regardless of whose practice they're supposed to represent. Every campaign we build is custom. Every piece of content is authored by someone who knows what a preparation margin is.

Who Leads the Work

Dr. Richard Dawson, DMD leads the strategic vision for Practice Brew. Dr. Dawson is an ICOI Fellow with a clinical background in implant dentistry and dental-driven facial aesthetics. He understands what it means to compete as an independent practice against DSO marketing machines, and he built the methods we use at Smile Science before packaging them for other practices.

The Luxora Toolset

Practice Brew is powered by Luxora — a marketing software suite built by Stack & Spoke, the software arm of the Smile Science Holdings group. Luxora includes Luxora Forge (our service page CMS), Luxora Orbit (our satellite directory network), and Luxora Quill (our content engine). These tools were built for internal use first and are now available as part of the Practice Brew engagement.

Who We Work With

Practice Brew works exclusively with independent dental practices — solo and group practices that are choosing to compete on quality and character rather than chain ownership. We don't work with DSOs. We don't work with practices that want templated, volume-driven marketing. We work with dentists who want to be known for something specific, and who want a marketing function that reflects the care they put into their clinical work.

Ready to work together?

Practice Brew takes on a limited number of clients per year. If you're an independent practice competing on quality, we'd like to hear from you.
